World War Two bomb kills two soldiers in Luxembourg

A WORLD WAR TWO bomb has killed two soldiers from the Luxembourg army.

The victims, aged 40 and 48, were non-commissioned officers in the National Defence Force. The explosion injured two others, one of whom is in critical condition.

It is reported the 48 kilogram bomb was being prepared for shipment to neighbouring Belgium when it exploded.

Last week, Ciampino airport in Rome was closed after the discovery of three bombs dating back to World War Two. A day earlier, a bomb from the same period was diffused in Essen, Germany.
