EasyJet will base five new aircraft in Manchester from this summer. In addition, easyJet will launch of four new routes from Manchester to Jerez de la Frontera in Spain, Kalamata in Greece, Bari in Italy and Nice in France.
EasyJet’s new route to Jerez de la Frontera starts on 17 August 2019 and will operate three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays on an A319 aircraft.
The route is expected to be popular among those looking to enjoy a true taste of the Mediterranean. Fares will start from £24.25 per person. Kalamata flights will operate twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays commencing 15 June 2019on an A320 aircraft.
The four routes will carry over 50,000 passengers this summer with the airline now operating 64 routes and over 26,000 flights a year to and from Manchester.
The airline will also increase the number of flights on its existing route from Manchester to Budapest from twice a week on Mondays and Fridays to three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, as well as adding one extra flight per day on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays on its route from Manchester to Belfast.
