Technical problems have once again forced a Lufthansa aircraft to turn back. According to reports, the jetliner was on its way from Frankfurt to São Paulo.
Data from the aviation portal Flightradar24 shows the aircraft – a Boeing 747-830 – was over France when it returned to Frankfurt.
The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung reports that the 284 passengers on-board, will according to the airline, be accommodated in hotels.
Further details on the reason for the return have not been made public, but it is expected that the flight will resume its trip sometime Tuesday.
The aircraft manufacturer Boeing currently has unprecedented technical problems with another type of aircraft, their much discussed Boeing 737 Max, which has been involved in two deadly crashes in less than a year.
Just last week, a Lufthansa plane had to turn back halfway between Frankfurt and India.
In that incident, the airline had given a hydraulic problem on the Airbus A380 as the reason.
