Third-seeded Karolina Pliskova from Czeck Republic reached the forth-round at Wimbledon, beating Hsieh Su-Wei from Chinese Taipei 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 on Friday.
The former world No. 1 is still looking for her first Grand Slam title though she topped WTA rankings with 51 wins in 2017.
She remained in top 10 in the past years, but is slow to make a breakthrough in Grand Slams, including at All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club.
Hsieh Su-Wei defeated former semi-finalist of Wimbledon Kirsten
Flipkens from Belgium 7-6, 6-3 in the second round, and it’s the second time for Hsieh to reach the third round at Wimbledon in two years.
In the first round at Wimbledon, Hsieh beat former French Open champion Jelena Ostapenko from Latvia 6-2, 6-2 within 67 minutes. Last year, in the third round at Wimbledon, Hsieh ended the winning streak of world No.1 Simona Halep from Romania.
