Israeli army kills Palestinian militant in Gaza

The Israeli army killed on Thursday a Palestinian militant who approached the separation fence in the southern Gaza Strip and targeted Israeli soldiers with gunfire.

The Palestinian militant called Hani Abu Salah, from Khan Younis, and his brother Fadi Abu Salah was killed during the Great March of Return.

Israeli military said Israeli forces shot dead a Palestinian on Thursday after he crossed from Gaza and opened fire at troops, injuring three of them – one officer, who was moderately injured, and two other combat soldiers, who sustained light injuries.

A security sources close to Hamas confirmed that the Palestinian militant was a member of the movement.

Since 2018, the eastern borders of the Gaza Strip have been witnessing clashes between the Palestinians and Israeli soldiers.
