Unemployment in Austria has fallen by 4.5 percent year-over-year in July to leave 325,206 people unemployed, the social affairs ministry has revealed.
The overall unemployment was down to 6.5 percent last month, according to the ministry.
There were 83,413 available jobs registered at the Public Employment Service (AMS) at the end of the month, an increase of 5.5 percent.
Youth unemployment dropped a notable 8.6 percent, in keeping with a trend observable over the past months.
Austrian nationals saw a 4.9 percent drop in unemployment compared to foreigners who saw a lesser decline of 1.2 percent, while men saw their unemployed numbers fall 4.7 percent, more than the 2.8 percent drop recorded for women.
The ministry also noted that an estimated 3.89 million people were in employment last month.
