Bus accident injures 30 in Germany’s eastern city

Around 30 people were injured on Wednesday in a car accident in Germany’s eastern city of Brandenburg an der Havel.

A regional bus Line 560 was hit by a parked Mercedes who was attempting to move into the traffic flow, and another car also crashed into the scene, according to local media Maerkische Allgemeine.

16 people were taken to two regional hospitals and none of them were considered in life-threatening condition.

More than 20 children were on the bus in a school road trip and several of them were injured.

The city mayor Steffen Scheller said the children are in good hands and their parents were all informed.
