A seven-year-old child and his parents were hurt by lighting in the Polish Tatra mountains on Friday, just one week after a thunderstorm killed four in a closeby location.
The family was taken to the hospital but are in good condition, the director of the hospital in Zakopane, the main town in the touristic mountain region in southern Poland, told media.
The family was not directly hit by the lightning, but the shock of the lightning hitting a nearby tree caused them to fall off. The incident took place on a trail linking Kuznic to Hala Gasienicowa, a popular trail in the Tatras.
Last Thursday, five people including two children were killed and more than 150 were injured after lightnings hit a support chain tourists were using to climb the Giewont peak and other places in the Tatra mountains.
