Ukraine to attract 50-bln-USD FDI in 5 years

The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers set the goal of attracting 50 billion U.S. dollars of foreign direct investment (FDI) over five years to achieve a GDP growth of 40 percent, Interfax Ukraine news agency reported on Monday.

“We confirm that over the next five years, we will come to a situation where our economy will grow by 40 percent. To do this, we need to attract 50 billion U.S. dollars of investments,” Ukrainian Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk said at a press briefing here on Monday.

According to the prime minister, the government set itself the task of creating 1 million jobs in Ukraine.
