Europe’s largest budget airline Ryanair on Wednesday launched a “Millions-In-The-Air” sale promotion to celebrate carrying a record number of 150 million passengers in the past 12 months.
Under the promotion campaign, the airline offers a discount of up to 30 euros (about 33 U.S. dollars) off return flights on over one million seats available between October 2019 and May 2020 and the discounted seats can be found on the company’s website from Wednesday until midnight on Oct. 4, according to the press release issued by the airline.
In a statement, Ryanair said it handled 14.1 million passengers in September, bringing its total number of passengers handled in the past 12 months to a record high of 150.3 million.
Ryanair is an Ireland-headquartered airline. In the fiscal year ending on March 31, 2019, Ryanair carried a total of 142 million passengers, making it the largest low-fare airline in Europe, the company’s figures showed.
