King Mohammed VI of Morocco on Wednesday approved a reshuffle in the government of Prime Minister Saad Dine El Othmani.
The new cabinet is composed of 23 ministers. Seven of them are technocrats, and the others represent five political parties let by the Justice and Development Party.
Key ministers of Interior, Foreign Affairs, Economy and Finance, Agriculture, Education, Commerce and Industry, Energy, Islamic Affairs, and National Defense Administration were not replaced.
The new ministers were sworn in before the king.
This reshuffle of cabinet is seen as an attempt to inject meritocracy and integrity required to enhance the implementation of state programs.
