Prices of goods and services in Belarus goes up

Prices of goods and services in Belarus rose by 0.9 percent in January compared with December 2019, the National Statistics Committee said Monday.

Data showed that in January the consumer price index of services went up by 0.6 percent, while that of food products and non-food products increased by 1.1 percent and 0.7 percent respectively.

In December 2019, the country’s consumer prices increased by 0.5 percent month-on-month.

According to the government’s forecast, prices for goods and paid services will rise by no more than 5 percent in 2020.
