8 UNIFIL members injured in car accident in south Lebanon

Eight United Nations Interim Forces in Lebanon (UNIFIL) members were injured on Thursday in an accident between three vehicles belonging to the French and Indian battalions in Hasbaya, south Lebanon.

Members of the two battalions were on a regular patrol in the area when the accident took place, the National News Agency reported.

Indian UNIFIL members were transported to Marjeyoun Public hospital by the Civil Defense while members of the French Battalion were treated on the ground.
