Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and his Spanish counterpart Arancha Gonzalez Laya discussed on Wednesday bilateral relations and regional issues of mutual interest.
During a phone conversation, both ministers pledged to boost mutual relations in various fields, especially at the economic level, the Egyptian foreign ministry said in a statement.
The two top diplomats tackled ways to fight the coronavirus pandemic as well as cooperation to curb its repercussions, according to the ministry statement.
They also touched upon the latest regional developments including the Palestinian issue, the situations in Libya and war on terrorism.
The Spanish foreign minister was keen to know the Egyptian vision regarding the means of reaching just and comprehensive settlements to the issues and crises in the region in order to achieve the desired stability, the statement noted.
