Saudi Arabia reports 2,642 new infections of COVID-19, 67,719 in total

Saudi Arabia’s accumulated COVID-19 cases reached on Friday 67,719, with the registration of 2,642 new infections.

The kingdom reported more recoveries than infections in the last 24 hours with 2,963 recovered cases, increasing the total recoveries to 39,003, the health ministry tweeted.

Riyadh reported the highest new cases of 856 individuals, followed by Jeddah of 403 infections.

With 13 deaths reported because of the virus, the death toll rose to 364.

Saudi Arabia will start from Saturday a five-day full curfew that will cover all regions of the kingdom. The decision aims to prevent gatherings because of Eid al-Fitr celebration to prevent the spread of the virus.
