Lebanese army receives 4 military vessels from France

The Lebanese army received on Wednesday a donation of four Sillinger 1200 Rafale inflatable military boats from France, the National News Agency reported.

French Ambassador to Lebanon Bruno Foucher assured that France is determined to support the Lebanese army, especially its navy, adding that this new donation contributes to strengthening Lebanese maritime sovereignty.

A ceremony was held at the Beirut Naval Base for this purpose in the presence of Lebanese Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Zeina Akar and other officials.

Akar emphasized the strong historical relations between the two countries, while thanking France for providing modern and advanced French weapons and equipment to the Lebanese army.
