Lebanon registers 175 new COVID-19 cases, 3,579 in total

Lebanon’s number of COVID-19 infections increased on Saturday by 175 to 3,579, while the death toll went up by one to 47, the National News Agency reported.

Some Lebanese officials warned on Saturday that Lebanon is witnessing a very hard situation as the number of cases has been going up remarkably and hospitals do not have the capacity to receive COVID-19 patients if the increase continues at the same pace.

Lebanon has been fighting against COVID-19 since Feb. 21.

The country has received several donations from different countries for the fight against COVID-19 including China which offered last month 17,500 masks, 1,500 protective gears, 1,320 goggles and 1,000 shoes covers to Lebanese public hospitals.
