The Cypriot Education Minister Prodromos Prodromou has called on pupils to reduce their out of school activities and participation in team sports, CyBC reports.

However, the government is not considering a return to distance learning – at least for the time being.

Prodromou announced further protective measures inside school grounds, including tighter monitoring of existing Covid measures in addition to contact tracing advisory teams providing additional support.

The Cyprus Education Ministry will also increase the number of bus routes in coordination with the Transport Ministry.
