Lebanon extends general mobilization until March 2021 to fight COVID-19

Lebanon’s Higher Defense Council has extended the general mobilization period to the end of March 2021 in light of COVID-19 outbreak with a set of health, economic and security measures.

Caretaker Prime Minister Hassan Diab said that the two weeks of lockdown measures adopted by the country from Nov. 14 to Nov. 29 helped in reducing the number of COVID-19 cases while increasing the readiness of the health sector by adding beds in hospitals.
