1965: Wilson cuts flow of oil to Rhodesia

DEC 17, 1965:

Just 5 weeks after the illegal declaration of independence by Rhodesia, the British government has tightened the screws on the rebel colony by imposing oil sanctions and asking other countries to join in.
Edward Heath, the leader of the Conservative opposition in the House of Commons, called it a grave development and said it could cause individual hardship to Rhodesians.
