Turkish police launched on Wednesday simultaneous operations against suspected members of the Islamic State (IS) in Turkey’s biggest city Istanbul and detained at least 18 suspects, local media reported.
The Istanbul Police Department’s Counter-Terrorism Unit teams raided many addresses to capture the suspects, who have alleged links to the IS, the state-run Anadolu agency said.
