Lebanon registers 2,130 new COVID-19 cases, 32 deaths

Lebanon registered on Sunday 2,130 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number in the country to 339,122, the Health Ministry said.

Meanwhile, the death toll from the virus rose by 32 to 3,993.

Lebanon launched on Sunday its vaccination campaign after the arrival of 28,500 Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines a day earlier.

Assem Araji, head of the Lebanese parliament’s Health Committee, expected his country to vaccinate 80 percent of its population by the end of 2021.
