Firefighters put out fire in Homs refinery in central Syria

Firefighters succeeded in putting out a fire that erupted in an oil refinery in Syria’s central province of Homs on Sunday morning, SANA news agency reported.

The fire broke out at a distillation unit as a result of a leak in one of the pumpers, said the report.

The cooling process was introduced after the fire was extinguished, the report said, adding that only property damage was caused without human losses.
