The unemployed persons, registered at the District Labour Offices on the last day of October 2021, reached 10.974 persons, according to latest figures.
Based on the seasonally adjusted data that show the trend of unemployment, the number of registered unemployed for October 2021 decreased to 14.660 persons in comparison to 15.735 in the previous month.
In comparison with October 2020, a decrease of 20.513 persons or 65,1% was recorded, attributed mainly to the sector of accommodation and food service activities (a decrease of 6.277), trade (a decrease of 3.768), manufacturing (a decrease of 1.205), transportation and storage (a decrease of 989), education (a decrease of 888) as well as to the decrease of 1.284 persons recorded as newcomers in the labour market.
