Saudi Arabia and France agreed on Saturday to support comprehensive reforms necessary in Lebanon, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The agreement was reached during a phone call between Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, French President Emmanuel Macron, and Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati, on the sideline of Macron’s official visit to Saudi Arabia.

The Lebanese prime minister expressed Lebanon’s appreciation for the efforts made by Saudi Arabia and France, and the commitment of the Lebanese government to strengthening relations with Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
