
Jordan’s Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh recently discussed with a visiting mission from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) ways to strengthen bilateral relations to help realize Jordan’s economic goals.
The IMF delegation, headed by IMF mission chief to Jordan, Ron van Rooden, was on a visit to the kingdom to conduct the 6th economic review as part of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF), a four-year program approved by the IMF to Jordan in 2020.
During the meeting, Ron van Rooden reaffirmed his recognition of the reforms implemented by Jordan and the government’s efforts in dealing with financial and economic challenges.
Van Rooden also praised Jordan’s success in maintaining a low inflation level, preserving its credit rating, and successfully issuing Eurobonds.
