Fighting continues in Sudan, seven weeks of unrest

More shelling has been reported in the Sudanese capital Khartoum  as fighting between the countries warring generals intensifies.

Witnesses reported artillery fire around the state television building and the army announced it had brought reinforcements to the capital from other parts of Sudan.

Fighting has continued for nearly seven weeks despite efforts to broker a humanitarian ceasefire.
