The EU is considering new sanctions following the heavy-handed treatment of pro-European protesters in Georgia.
In recent weeks, the police have used extremely brutal tactics to crack down on protests in Georgia. According to human rights organizations, more than 400 people have been arrested.
The matter is on the table when EU foreign ministers meet on Monday.
Potential sanctions could include a travel ban in the EU for those responsible for the violence against protesters and EU supporters, according to the DPA news agency.
