The exploration license held by Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO) for an oil field in Şırnak province has been extended until October 22, 2028.
The decision, issued by the General Directorate of Mining and Petroleum Affairs under Turkey’s Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources, was published in the Official Gazette.
Following a review of TPAO’s application, authorities approved the extension of the company’s oil exploration license in Şırnak. Under the decision, the license covering an onshore area of 42,447 hectares was extended through October 22, 2028.
