FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Police arrested four individuals Sunday during intensified patrols aimed at preventing wildfires in the greater Limassol area.
Officers stopped three vehicles in two separate incidents. In the first, two cars traveling in the same area were searched, leading to the discovery of small quantities of narcotics on both drivers. They were arrested on the spot. A subsequent search of one suspect’s home uncovered an unlicensed weapon, believed to be an air rifle.
In the second incident, police found burglary tools inside a third vehicle, resulting in the arrest of its two occupants.
The two drivers caught with drugs were charged in writing and released. The other two suspects are expected to appear in court Monday for a remand hearing.
The investigation is ongoing under the Lania Police Station.
