Members of the military have joined the emergency effort in Spain where the worst floods in decades have killed at least 95 people.
According to local media, at least all the victims were in the Valencia region. Rescue workers are still struggling to find the missing.
A journalist in the region told the Famagusta Gazette that the catastrophe was being described as one of the worst natural disasters in Spain’s recent history.
Officials say it is still unclear how many people are still unaccounted for, and some places can only be reached by helicopter.
Media in the country is also reporting that some local leaders are complaining that the flood warnings came too late.
Speaking to the media, Prime Minister, Pedro Sanchez, said those affected would not be abandoned.
