Gross gaming revenues from three casinos in Limassol, Ayia Napa and Paphos rose sharply in 2025, according to figures published Wednesday by the Cyprus Gaming and Casino Supervision Authority.
The authority’s annual report shows gross gaming revenue climbed to 227 million euros in 2025, up 20% from 189.2 million euros the previous year. Since the first casino opened in July 2018, cumulative revenues have exceeded 529.7 million euros.
The report said 86% of 2025 gaming revenue came from the Limassol casino, the largest of the three.
State revenue from casino taxation also increased, reaching 34.05 million euros in 2025, compared with 28.3 million euros in 2024 and 19.5 million euros in 2023.
The number of active registered players — defined as individuals who played at least once in the past year — rose to 65,989 in 2025, up from 55,137 in 2024 and 46,599 in 2023.
The casinos pay an annual license fee of 2.5 million euros for their first four years of operation, rising to 5 million euros in subsequent years, the report said.
