Cyprus will end daylight saving time for 2025 in the early hours of Sunday, October 26, the Ministry of Energy, Commerce and Industry announced Thursday.
At 4:00 a.m. local time, clocks across the country will be set back one hour, marking the official transition to standard time.
The change is in line with European Union-wide regulations and was formalized through a decree published in the Republic’s Official Gazette on July 9, 2021 (Issue III(I), No. 5563, Decree 293/2021, paragraph (b)).
Daylight saving time is observed across all EU member states to optimize daylight hours during the warmer months.
