Deadline for applications for Housing Scheme Offering Plots to Families Looms

The deadline for the application process for a housing scheme that will allocate plots of land to families based on income and other criteria, is looming.

The scheme was published Sept. 18, and district administrations began issuing the first notifications last month, inviting eligible beneficiaries to apply for existing unallocated plots. The plots were created through earlier state land subdivisions in communities and municipal districts named in the notifications.

Interested applicants must use a prescribed application form, available on the ministry’s website. Applications must be submitted to the relevant district administration office by Nov. 30.

Officials also said the scheme includes provisions for creating new plots through further subdivisions of state land in communities that express interest in taking part. The ministry said the goal is to widen families’ access to residential land and support housing needs, particularly in rural communities.
