FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Starting today, citizens will have access to e-Kalathi, a digital platform designed to help them compare prices and make informed shopping decisions.
Available as a mobile application, the platform provides real-time pricing information for 478 essential products across 20 high-consumption categories.
Users can search for individual products or create complete shopping lists—weekly or monthly—to compare total costs and find the most affordable options.
Konstantinos Karagiorgis, Director of the Consumer Protection Service, highlighted the variation in market prices, noting that for a set of 37 products, prices range from €119.75 at one supermarket to €143 elsewhere.
E-Kalathi includes products from 167 stores across 22 supermarket chains. Consumers can compare prices nationwide, by province, or by specific supermarket to find the best deals.
