The 2nd Cyprus-Greece Intergovernmental Summit and the 4th Cyprus-Greece-Jordan Tripartite Summit are taking place today in Nicosia.
As part of the Intergovernmental Summit, there will be meetings between President Christodoulidis and the Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, and between ministers and deputy ministers of the two countries.
The agenda of the talks will include the Cyprus issue, issues of defence, digital transition, shipping, education and culture.
The following Tripartite Summit will be attended by President Christodoulidis, the Prime Minister of Greece and the King of Jordan.
The government spokesman, Konstantinos Letympiotis, emphasized today’s meetings demonstrate the role of the Republic of Cyprus as a pillar of stability in the wider region.
He also stated that during the Tripartite Cyprus-Greece-Jordan, a review will be made of what has been achieved and new goals will be set.
The agenda of the talks includes topics such as European Union-Jordan relations, immigration, the provision of humanitarian aid to Gaza and issues related to energy.
