Cyprus will see mostly fair weather over the next few days, with sunshine, thin cloud and periods of dust in the atmosphere, before local showers arrive toward the end of the week.
A weak high‑pressure system is affecting the area, with low pressure expected from Thursday. Dust concentrations may be elevated at times.
Today will be mostly clear with intervals of high cloud. Winds will be northeast to southeast, light to occasionally moderate, and the sea will be slight. Temperatures will reach 24°C inland, around 22°C on the coasts and 17°C in the higher mountains.
Tonight will be partly cloudy with mid‑ and high‑level cloud. Winds will shift northwest to northeast, light to briefly moderate in windward areas. Temperatures will fall to 12°C inland, about 14°C on the coasts and 10°C in the mountains.
Thursday will be partly cloudy at times, with temperatures rising steadily to above seasonal averages.
Friday will be mostly cloudy in places, with isolated showers and a chance of a thunderstorm. Temperatures will dip slightly.
