Cyprus Geneva Conference
The Cyprus Geneva Conference is an informal meeting organized by the United Nations to address the longstanding Cyprus problem.
The conference brings together leaders from both the Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot communities, as well as representatives from the island’s three guarantor powers: Greece, Turkey, and the United Kingdom.
The goal is to facilitate a substantive exchange of views and make progress toward a comprehensive settlement of the Cyprus issue.
The upcoming conference is scheduled for March 17-18, 2025, at the UN Office in Geneva.
It will begin with a working dinner on March 17, followed by bilateral discussions and a final plenary session on March 18.
The UN Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres, has reiterated the UN’s commitment to finding common ground and expressed hope that the talks will generate momentum for renewed negotiations.
