A recent survey by the University of Cyprus Field Research Center shows strong support among young people for a settlement of the Cyprus problem, with most members of Generation Z favoring a federal solution.
According to the findings, psychology lecturer Haris Psaltis said respondents aged 18 to 30 believe their economic prospects would improve in a reunified Cyprus.
Psaltis said young people express a positive attitude toward a bizonal, bicommunal federation and do not view such a model with fear or hesitation.
He added that Generation Z has grown up in a Cyprus where crossing points are open and contact with the other community is possible, shaping their outlook on coexistence and reunification.
