FAMAGUSTA GAZETTE – Cyprus will experience summer-like conditions with high temperatures and mostly clear skies throughout the week, meteorologists said Wednesday.
The Meteorological Service reported that seasonal low pressure is affecting the region, bringing warm and stable weather.
On Wednesday, skies will remain mostly clear, though increased cloud cover is expected in mountainous areas during the afternoon. Winds will shift from northeast to southeast in the morning, later turning southwest to northwest, blowing at 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly choppy. Temperatures will reach 36 degrees Celsius inland, 33 degrees along the coast, and 26 degrees in higher elevations.
Overnight, conditions will remain mostly clear, with light to moderate southwest to northwest winds. The sea will be calm to slightly choppy. Temperatures will drop to 22 degrees inland and along the coast, and 17 degrees in the mountains.
Thursday through Saturday will see continued clear skies, with a slight rise in temperatures on Thursday and stable conditions through the weekend, remaining above seasonal averages.
