Six pedestrians injured as car hits crowd near Argaka festival

Police in Paphos district were called out on Saturday to Argaka after a car driven by a 50-year-old man struck six pedestrians, injuring them.

The incident took place close to the site of a festival. Police are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident.

Among the injured was a pregnant woman, who was taken to Paphos General Hospital for a precautionary examination. According to initial information, the injuries to all six people are minor and their condition is not a cause for concern.

Reports say the vehicle also damaged parked cars that it collided with.

Police officers rushed to the scene and are continuing their inquiries to establish the causes and circumstances of the incident.
