Tonight, skies will remain mostly clear, though patches of low cloud cover may develop intermittently. By early morning, areas of light fog or mist are likely, especially across the eastern half of the island. Winds will shift to northwesterly to northeasterly at light strength, around 3 Beaufort, with seas remaining slightly choppy.
Overnight temperatures will drop to 22°C (71.6°F) inland and along the coast, and 18°C (64.4°F) in the mountains.
On Monday, conditions will stay mostly clear, though afternoon cloud development may bring isolated showers to mountainous regions. By Tuesday, an unstable air mass is forecast to affect the area, producing scattered afternoon showers and isolated thunderstorms, mainly over the mountains and parts of the interior.
Wednesday may also see localized afternoon cloudiness with a chance of isolated mountain showers.
Temperatures are expected to gradually decline through midweek, returning to seasonal averages.
