Qatar and Turkey are expected to take part in talks Wednesday aimed at advancing a plan for Gaza, according to media reports.
Qatar’s Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani is traveling to Egypt to join indirect negotiations between Israel and Hamas, Reuters reported, citing a source familiar with the discussions.
A Turkish delegation led by intelligence chief Ibrahim Kalin is also heading to Egypt for the talks, according to Turkey’s state-run Anadolu Agency.
The negotiations come amid ongoing efforts to reach a cease-fire and address the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. No official details of the plan have been released.
