A deadly traffic collision occurred late yesterday afternoon on the Avdimou–Anogyra road, claiming the life of a 68-year-old man, a resident of Anogyra.
Under circumstances still under investigation, the victim’s vehicle collided head-on with a car traveling in the opposite lane, driven by a 58-year-old man.
The victim sustained fatal injuries in the impact. The other driver was transported to Limassol General Hospital, where he remains hospitalized.
According to Limassol police, firefighters were required to extricate both drivers from their vehicles.
