Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar said Saturday that Turkey’s push for energy independence continues even in the country’s most challenging terrain, declaring that “there is no mountain we cannot overcome, no summit we cannot climb.”

In a post on social media, Bayraktar shared details from the Tartı Tepe area of Siirt province, where energy exploration and production work is underway at an altitude of 2,268 meters.

He said operations are progressing despite severe winter conditions and high elevation, adding that teams are “working without interruption” in pursuit of a “Fully Independent Turkey.”

Bayraktar said Turkey will continue to operate “in every corner of the homeland” regardless of difficult geography or harsh weather, for the country’s future and the well‑being of its citizens.

State media also published images showing the tough working environment and personnel carrying out the activities.
