Trade between Jordan and Syria recorded strong growth in the first ten months of this year, driven by renewed commercial activity and rising exchange volumes.
National exports to Syria reached 203 million dinars, up from 46 million dinars in the same period last year — a 341.3% increase that reflects stronger Syrian demand for Jordanian products, according to foreign‑trade data from the Department of Statistics.
Jordan’s imports from Syria also rose, totaling 75 million dinars compared with 51 million dinars a year earlier, an increase of 47.1%.
Total bilateral trade reached 278 million dinars in the January–October period, up from 97 million dinars in the corresponding months of 2024.
Jordan’s exports to Syria were concentrated in construction and building‑materials industries — including cement, steel, marble, tiles, paints and pipes — as well as electrical equipment, food products, agricultural goods and chemicals.
