A 50‑year‑old man lost €6,860 after being duped by a caller who claimed to be a Revolut employee, police said Friday.

According to investigators, the man received a call on his mobile phone that appeared on the screen as “Revolut Bank.” The caller told him there was suspicious activity on his account and that third parties were trying to gain access. The victim was persuaded to provide his security codes, allowing the scammer to withdraw the money.

Police urged the public to be cautious, noting that banks and financial institutions do not request access codes, PINs or transaction‑verification numbers over the phone.
