Turkey plans to import 480,000 head of male cattle next year

Turkey plans to import a total of 480,000 male cattle for fattening in 2027, excluding imports by public institutions.

Farms with a fattening barn capacity of 200 head or more would be permitted to import 380,000 animals. Smaller operations would share the remaining 100,000.

Imports will be carried out through the Meat and Milk Board (ESK), while the application, evaluation, allocation, import and delivery of animals to farms will follow the provisions of the official Application and Evaluation Instruction.
