Wildfires raging around Los Angeles in the United States have claimed at least 24 lives.
Authorities reported the rising death toll local time on Sunday.
People evacuated due to wildfires will be able to return to their homes no earlier than Thursday, CNN reported .
More than 100,000 people are still under evacuation orders, up from a peak of around 180,000 during the fires that broke out on Tuesday.
A total of over 17,000 hectares of land have burned and over 12,000 buildings have been destroyed.
The highest level of fire warning has been issued until Wednesday due to strong winds.
