The number of Haitians who have fled their homes due to gang violence has tripled in the past year, the UN says.
According to the UN Migration Agency (IOM), at least 1,041,000 people have been displaced, many of whom are struggling as a result of the humanitarian crisis in the country.
Most of the displaced come from the capital, Port-au-Prince, where the number of internally displaced people has increased by 87 percent in the past year.
The crisis is driven by relentless gang violence and the fact that essential services have collapsed and disappeared, including access to health care, the UN says. Food insecurity is also very high.
